" A program such as the Millennium Fellowship will expose me to a global community in an interconnected world. As a Millennium Fellow, I can network with students like myself who want to make a positive social impact in our schools, communities, and worldwide. In this program, I can conduct intellectual discourse on social issues, UNAIS principles, and SDGs while providing a safe environment to better my creativity and approaches to problem-solving. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: FACE 2 FACE

Face-to-face takes different approaches to bring awareness to students, faculty, and staff about multiple social issues on campus in the Miami area. It also allows marginalized communities to discuss grievances that they have with historically oppressive communities.

About the Millennium Fellow

D'Andria Hollins is a full-time undergraduate student studying at Florida International University pursuing a B.S in Biology and B.A in Interdisciplinary Studies with a second major in Medical Sciences. For a year, she researched as an intern in Dr. Barbieri's lab, focusing on using plant compounds as a possible treatment for viruses and proviruses. D'Andria Hollins has developed a strong sense of purpose to effectively work for social and environmental change, benefiting underserved and underrepresented communities. By combining Biology and Interdisciplinary Studies, she has begun to develop the skills and knowledge needed to prepare her for a competitive MD/MPH joint degree program. As an MD-MPH degree holder, she wants to pursue a career related to disease prevention, health education, and policy-making while also providing clinical care.
