In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. Millennium Fellowship Project: Dale Start Smart
Dale Start Smart is project that strives to aid students, from all different cultural backgrounds and lowincome backgrounds, in preparing to apply and receive a debt free college education. We have 45 students and aim for them to improve within our two programs. We aim for all students to improve their SAT scores by 10 points and for our students to at least apply within our second program by November 1st to their college.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sophia Emperatriz Jaimes is third year honors student at Florida International University majoring in International Relations. Along with her major, she is minoring in Political Science with two certificates in Pre-Law and Women and Gender Studies. Sophia aims to focus her project on making a higher education more accessible to low income high school students in Miami. When she is older she aspires to become an advocate for educational rights and women's rights in political or legal sector.
