Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth Empowerment for Sustainable Development

The Youth Empowerment for Sustainable Development project is embarked to achieve primarily SDG 4 in addition to other intersecting SDGs like SDG 5, 10 and 16. The project is working around SDG 4 in three dimensions.

First of all, we are spreading awareness about the significances of quality education and directing students via various interactive sessions to help them comprehend the implications and really essences of quality equation. The goal of this step is to immune the students from the social diseases such as corruption using the tool of quality education.

Secondly, through research, both qualitative and quantitative, it is figuring out the problems youth faced with respect to quality education especially, after the shift in education mode bought by global pandemic. This is helping us to diagnose the problems students faced, making them insightful of their lacking in terms of responsible student and aiding in finding out solutions which will ultimately equip them will all attributes a responsible citizen should have in order to lead a successful life for him/herself as well as for the society at large.

Lastly, the youth force that has been created in the first two step, equipped with quality education, is been used to spread the lamp of quality education in deprived areas such as slums. The youth in various groups shall be visiting slums and teach what they learn to the people in slums.

About the Millennium Fellow

Creative, determined and empathetic are the words that describes Fazila. She dreams to be an agent of change. Currently, she is pursuing her BA LLB degree from Fatima Jinnah Women University. She belongs to Gilgit Baltistan which is the land of natural beauty and crown of Pakistan. She advocates the promotion of pluralism. She thinks of life as an exam that tests faith, humanity and purity. Fazila through her creative writing portrays the harsh realities of the society and believes in providing solutions for the social problems. She dreams to work for the entire world as a global citizen.
