" This is a platform through which we polish our skills even we know what we are and how much we are active. By being a fellow, we can do as much as we can for the social work and we glow more to work harder in next level of our lives. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Fight Hunger and Poverty
Our Project "Fight hunger and poverty" has focused on polishing the skills of the deprived class. Those who knew certain skills were be provided with the tools to help them earn their living. Women with the skills of stitching were provided with a sewing machine. This resulted in providing food and jobs to the people and helped eliminate poverty and hunger. This created a sense of entrepreneurship among people and helped them with income generation. Our target area was the slums of Rawalpindi. Our minimum target was to make atleast 10 households independent enough to fight hunger and poverty. We completed our project by collaborating with a non-profit youth organization working for the social cause. Through the cooperation of Millinium fellowship, we were able to make positive change to the lives of the people.
