United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" Aspiring to become a United Nations Volunteer, the experience I gain from the Millennium Fellowship will be immensely helpful for my volunteering project and the beneficiaries I will be serving. Respect is the key to maintain a harmonious society, let it be self-respect or mutual respect, and I am prepared to foster it starting from my Millennium Fellowship campus. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Remove the label & Lower the hostility
I was inspired by a commercial I watched years ago about groups of people with opposite views and backgrounds such as sexuality and religions who were grouped
together to complete some tasks without knowing anything about the others. After they completed some tasks together and develop a bonding with each other, their details were revealed and the parties got to choose whether to continue the conversation and the activity. I would like to organize similar events in my campus where students with different backgrounds could sit together, setting aside their prejudice and work together. I strongly believe that a lack of understanding is what
leads to discrimination and prejudice. I hope that through the activities, participants could understand that they are basically of no difference. Even they share different sexuality or religion, they could still make friends and work smoothly with others. If possible, I would also like to make a documentary on this to portray similar messages.
