" Since I have entered the university, I enjoyed studying and acquiring the knowledge through the classes at university. However, when I was a senior, I realized that even though I could acquire a lot of knowledge, there was no opportunity to contributes those knowledge practically. Therefore I was dissatisfied with the situation that I cannot move into action. At that time, I found the Millennium Fellowship and thought it would be the good opportunity to put the knowledge into action that can be contributed to make the positive change in the world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Zero

Project Zero focuses on SDG 12, Responsible production and consumption. The main aim of this project is to minimize the amount of garbage each household produce. Given the fact that there are massive amount of plastic waste flowing into the ocean, the project will especially put emphasis on reducing plastic waste. As well as correcting the consumption attitude, we would like to focus on the issues of production process. In order to reduce garbage, mass production need to be put to an end. The materials used for creating products should be carefully chosen, and the supply chain should be managed sustainably. The project members will advocate issues raised regarding the mass production and consumption to enhance the awareness of people, as well as suggesting how to act as ethical consumers.
