Millennium Fellowship Project: Trash The Trash Initiative
Trash The Trash involves educating primary school children about the importance of proper waste disposal. In my community, improper waste disposal has caused a lot of flooding and littering, and I believe it starts with the most basic thing: Do not drop waste on the floor. As simple as that is, the opposite seems to be the culture now. And since we believe that children are our future, to have a waste safe environment in the future, these primary school children in their formative years would be instrumental. Even for now, because they would soon be the ones handling the wastes in their respective households. And more, simply, it will make them cleaner.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ibukunoluwa Oluwatoni Pitan is goal-oriented and loves to impact those who he can around him. A fourth-year student of Law, he is very passionate about his environment, and that has pushed him to get involved in the Fellowship to give wings to this passion.
Ibukunoluwa loves to cook leisurely and is interested in anything music.
