ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Agrizone

Agrizone is a community-based project that concentrates on waste management and sustainable agriculture. The project concentrates on analyzing the food wastage at various stages of the supply chain and spreading awareness on food wastage in the society and particularly in the farming community. This is an important step for reducing hunger in our society. Additionally, the project aims at reduction of greenhouse gas emission by promoting sustainable practices in agriculture, propagating bio-gas technology for sustainable energy production, turning decomposable wastage into organic compost and through innovative industrial practices.. The targeted audience are farmers, students and common people.. We’ll be educating them for adopting sustainable activities in waste disposal, green energy and composting through webinars, videos, and professionals. The project will have awareness campaigns, scientific discussions and consortium, sharing of educational content This will help build an effective imp. act through strategies on food management, waste disposal, and sustainable agriculture.

About the Millennium Fellow

Akul Agrawal is from India. He is a second-year chemical engineering student at the Institute of Chemical Technology Mumbai Indian Oil Odisha Campus who is intrigued by nature.
An explorer who enjoys learning something new and exploring wildlife. Akul is passionate about lawn tennis, economics, and chemistry. He's open to trying new experiences and is always up for a healthy conversation. He recently got selected as a Millennium Fellow for the class of 2021.
