" Inclusivity is the need of the hour and understanding how ableism persists in our daily life is essential. We live in a world that conceals away portions of society and keeps them behind. As a member of the Millennium Fellowship, I will be able to advocate for change for a broad portion of our society. As a consequence of this fellowship, I hope to grow and learn from as many individuals as possible. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Sign With Us
Sign With Us is an initiative that aims to work for individuals with hearing and speech impairment by spreading Indian Sign Language based literacy amongst academics, corporates and general communities. This will aid multilingual and inclusive learning in Indian academic institutions. Which connects to SDG 4 i.e quality education and SDG 10 i.e Reduced Inequality. Alongside, we aim to sensitise corporates to help the hearing and speech impaired communities get equal opportunities to build a career. This would support them to become financially independent.
