Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Parwaaz
Parwaaz aims to assist the students and society to normalize the discussion of mental health and reduce the stigma associated with it. The purpose of this Project is to promote, restore and maintain a positive mental health. Parwaaz is constituted on the idea of assisting the students and society to reduce the stigma associated with mental health, promote help seeking behaviours and emotional well-being practices, and prevent suicide through individual education and outreach events. There is a need for teenagers and adolescents to be aware of mental health issues that affect their peers and community as well as resources for how to seek help. It is important to cultivate practices that support emotional wellbeing. When mental health is overlooked, it can have detrimental effects on the individual and the community. For this cause, the whole team of Parwaaz is determined to spread awareness by arranging workshops, counseling sessions, activities and a lot more.
