Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Consultancy Cell
We intend to build a Sustainable Consultancy Cell to address the lack of sustainable businesses in India. The movement around making one’s company green is almost exclusively undertaken by big Multinational Corporations and World-Wide Brands. However, the awareness and the means to make Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and young startups sustainable are unavailable and non-affordable in most parts of India. An environmental & socially sustainable business is the need of the nation and would be key in meeting Sustainable Development Goals as well as reducing our contribution towards the climate crisis. The solution involves (1) Identifying an organization’s core social and environmental impacts (2) Creating a sustainability plan (3) Calculating the carbon footprint and helping the organization go carbon-neutral (4) Developing a sustainability report (5) Greening the supply chain and optimizing the product life cycle.
