ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

By gaining these skills with the help of Millennium Fellowship, I will be able to make positive impacts on the society which will align with the sustainable goals. Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health Matters

Our project Mental health matters as from the name is mainly focusing on the mental health of the young generation and to help them on matters affecting their mental wellbeing and to help them to deal with depression and other life obstacles whether big or small.

About the Millennium Fellow

Joan Wangari Thiong'o is a bright, you g And competitive development studies student at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya. She was born, currently resides and studies in Kenya, Nairobi. Over the years, Joan has developed a passion about social justice and working towards positive development in the society. This drive translates itself in her dedication towards social action. Through highschool and currently in her college years, she has taken part in various social justice movements and projects and plans to continue in the future. Joan aspires to make her contribution to development of the UN sustainable goals.
