" By becoming a Millennium Fellow, I am excited about the ideas and knowledges that I get from this platform, which would help me implement my plans about spreading awareness to people about the importance of balanced diet more effectively. It would also help me improve my communication skills which I require in the coming days to establish myself as a successful physician. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Balanced Diet For Healthy Life

My project is to make people aware about consuming balanced diet, it's importance and the consequences of improper food habits. To make people learn about the quantity of nutrients that is required among different age groups to stay healthy. It can be done through conducting various interactive programs with school children and their parents, teachers, school administrations and in local level. This project is more focused on the disorders like Protein energy malnutrition, iron deficiency anemia, vitamin A deficiency disorders and low birth weight. This project also aspires to reduce the chronic diseases like hypertension, Diabetes, hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism by ensuring healthy dietary habits amongst people through awareness.
