Millennium Fellowship Project: Let's Be United
Let's Be United is a project that aims at strengthening the social adaptation of the migrant kids who are facing social barriers in elementary school. We conduct workshops which have different topics each week. Each workshop aim to bring in global values such as empathy, global citizenship, gender equality and tolerance. This values are reflected in art, drama and music activities and games.
About the Millennium Fellow
Damla Ataman is a student who is pursuing a double major of industrial engineering and psychology in Koç University. She lives in Istanbul, Turkey. After she had been into a German elementary school and a French highschool, she knew that she wanted to become a part in a global community in the future. She believes that small and individual contributions could make a great change and the change begins with us. Ever since her childhood, she desired to be part of a organisation where she can bear a hand to those who need it and she believes that the Millennium Fellowship can create the perfect opportunity to help people while creating a global community with people who share the same desire of helping others.
