ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Pick a Plastic

Pick a Plastic is a project that focuses on sensitizing and teaching people on the adverse effects of plastic pollution and how to properly recycle plastics to help sustain our environment.

About the Millennium Fellow

Barakat Omowumi Adebayo is a young bright student currently studying Chemistry in the prestigious Lagos State University.
She was born in Osun state, Nigeria and currently studying in Lagos State.
Barakat has always been an inquisitive young girl with a burning passion for learning. She is passionate about Green chemistry, human development and children rights.
Thus, she is well known in her local community and University for being involved in projects and initiatives that caters for the effects of climate change and environmental sensitization, human development and children rights.
