ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

I joined the Millennium Fellowship to be among the students leader who will help, as much as they can, their communities. The Fellowship will be a great opportuinity to meet students like me from all over the world. I love to teach people programming because it is the shape of our future, and everyone has right to access it. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Students Saviors

Students Saviors targets public schools student from Lebanon with the goal of providing high school students access to university scholarships inside and outside Lebanon. We also work on facilitating and connecting students with local NGOs for volunteering opportuinities. We are planning on involving 3 schools by conducting workshops for the students.

About the Millennium Fellow

Mahmoud Basma is a proud Lebanese. He is from a small village in South Lebanon and now he is finishing his college studies in Mathematics and Computer Science. Mahmoud is pretty much in to community service, he serves as a paramedic with the Lebanese Red Cross and as a volunteer trainer, cleaner, cook and construction worker. Recently, he has been highly interested in technology and he is working on an intitative to teach programming for everyone.
