" My mother used to tell me that 'Education is the best gift you can ever give to someone. That's why my parents made huge sacrifices to provide a good education to my siblings and me. Since I participated in many volunteering activities, I noticed how many Hondurans live in poverty and the importance of providing and receiving an excellent education. Therefore, I am passionate about education, and I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow as I will meet like-minded people. Additionally, I am thrill to strengthen my leadership skills and obtain qualities that will allow me to keep helping others in the area of education and beyond. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: What's Going On?
My project focused on interviewing LCC students from different countries that are often not heard about and require a lot of help regarding the quality of education. I interviewed a student from Afghanistan, Ukraine, Armenia, Honduras, and Tanzania. They shared the current situation of their country and what factors are affecting the quality of education for all. I shared the interviews on the instagram page @whatsgoingon.mfellow so that I can reach out to many people and raise awareness. I also provided links on each post where the viewers can learn more about the quality of education in each of the countries and ways to help such countries. This is to call others for action.
