In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. " Peer-based network, critical thinking, and social innovation. Our world is being impacted by climate change, rapid urbanization, uneven distribution of resources, technological transformation, and an increasing inequality crisis. These challenges are being seen at the global, national, and local levels. Developing social innovation skills can play an important role in helping us navigate change and develop solutions for our communities. Even if a person has been receiving the best education, what kind of person he will eventually become depends entirely on the seeds the process of education sown on him. I always believe that education cultivates “exquisite egoists” and “exquisite altruists.” Millennium Fellowship Program is a good chance to brainstorm, innovate and bloom with global changemakers together. We should not let society influence education but let education influence society. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Virtual Reality Exhibition (VR Edu+ Expo)
My project is an immersive exhibition, which is mainly related to SDG-4. The goal of the Edu+ Expo is to further realize brand export and cultural exchange by presenting Chinese companies' innovative outputs in the form of pictures, videos, and 3D models and to allow students at Lynn University to view the exhibition in an immersive way. I founded Fusi (Shenzhen) EdTech Co., Ltd. in China in July. The "Virtual Reality (VR) Edu+ Expo" is part of my company's project. In October, we were selected as the official member of the China Regional Alliance of Invention Convention Worldwide (ICW) and the United Nations Global Compact. Although it is part of my company's projects, there were no other team members involved because it needed 3D modeling, immersive technology, and other STEM skills.
About the Millennium Fellow
Zeyi Li comes from China, she is an undergraduate student majoring in Social Entrepreneurship at Watson Institute at Lynn University in the US. She has a life-long passion for Educational Innovation and Gender Equality. She is the Founder and CEO of ALYISTURE, which was a registered educational startup in China. Zeyi is working as an Associate Analyst in University Impact, which is a VC in the US. She was invited to be the Guest Speaker of The 2030 Youth Force Asia-Pacific (YFAP)-Create Safe Spaces for Youth Advocates Workshop and 2021 Youth Sustainable Development Movers Workshop of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship x Quality Education. In this year, Zeyi has also been featured as one of the "China's Superwomen" by Green Initiatives.
