Millennium Fellowship Project: Give Her a Chance
My project is the Give Her a chance (GHAC) project that works with community leaders to identify and mentor and skill young girls and women who have victims of teenage pregnancy and early marriages in northern Uganda with the aim of empowering them in all aspects including financially .It involves organising mentorship sessions where we invite women that have had the same experience but managed to pull through and live independently to inspire and encourage the girls to dream for better.During the skilling sessions we invite trained personnel in the different fields like baking,tailoring, hair dressing to equip these girls with necessary skills for financial growth .
About the Millennium Fellow
Atim Emilly Faith is brilliant,creative and hardworking lady,currently in her third year of study pursuing a bachelor of medicine and BACHELOR of surgery at Makerere university .she is a citizen of uganda by birth and lives in th northern part of the country.she has always had a passion for women Empowerment, creating financial independence for young women and research.She has been part of small projects that aim at empowering the girl child .Her love for learning from the experienced and enormous and she believes this can help her impact the world more .
