Millennium Fellowship Project: The Distribution of Reusable Pads - Covid Relief Campaign
The Distribution of Reusable Pads - Covid Relief Campaign is an organised campaign for COVID-19 relied reusable pads following the pandemic. It targeted 1,000 pads for 500 girls i.e 2 pads for each girl in Eastern and Northern regions of Uganda. Throughout the Millennium Fellowship program, we were able to successfully provide 800 pads in total to girls in our community.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mutoni Immaculate is a proud feminist currently pursuing a bachelor of laws degree at Makerere University. Advocating for the rights of women is her greatest passion and currently, she is the Regional leader GirlUp Uganda, a UN foundation dedicated to promote girl empowerment in various countries around the world and most especially in Africa. This foundation was basically founded to fulfill SDG-5 i.e gender equality. Mutoni also is involved in social justice and she is a volunteer under Makerere Law School's PILAC (Public Interest Law Clinic) an organisation that has played a key role in her furtherance of her passion for social justice through radio talkshows, prison visits, slum visits at which we are able to teach the community about the law.
