Millennium Fellowship Project: The Increased Rate of Teenage Pregnancy in Kapchorwa due to Covid-19
The increased rate of teenage pregnancy in kapchorwa due to covid-19 project aims to increase awareness against early pregnancy where we have started home visits so far to those affected , we have started with schools and are waiting for lockdown on schools to be lifted so we can start school projects .we have involved vocational schools and they are willing to help provide courses at a subsided price with scholarships coming from the district leadership.we have asked some counsellors to assist too.
About the Millennium Fellow
Cherotich Martha Mangusho Is a young enthusiastic 3rd year medical student at makerere university Uganda. She is very passionate about children and adolescents. She volunteers at the reproductive health Uganda helping those without sanitary towels, giving reproductive health advice to both men and women of Reproductive age. She is working with a group of friends on a project on unwanted pregnancies in teenage girls in kapchorwa since covid. She is eager to be part of this fellowship
