Millennium Fellowship Project: UMatter
Umatter is an independent project led by a Millennium Fellow Harsha Johny. Umatter is a project that could impart courage to those who have been subjected to intimate partner violence, non-partner sexual violence in the forms of stalking, molesting, groping, rape, domestic violence and so on at least once in their life. It allows to speak up their story and the bruises they have, to the whole world all while remaining anonymous (unless they choose otherwise). The main objective is to provide support, to listen and to let them know that they aren't alone and that we will be with them.
About the Millennium Fellow
Harsha Johny is a bright, young and creative student with a sanguine personality, pursuing a degree in Electronics and Biomedical Engineering.She was born in Ernakulam, resides in Aluva, and is currently studying in Government Model Engineering College,Thrikkakara.For as long as she could remember,Harsha has always been passionate about technology and humanity.This drive and zest reverberated itself from Harsha's experience in different communities and her continuous dedication to achieve her goals.Throughout her high school and currently in her college years, she has successfully organized various philanthropic movements and social activities;which through her outstanding leadership,she plans to continue in her future.Harsha aspires to provide her own contribution in the development of United Nations' Sustainable Goals and hence move further in making a positive impact in society.
