ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Small Scale Biogas Digester

Small Bio gas Biogas digester is a project aimed at creating clean, reliable and affordable source of energy from bio waste such as animal waste and left over food for the cattle rearing communities in south Western Uganda.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ivan Ilemut is a green enenergy advocate from Uganda driving social and economy transformation of his country through championing sustainable renewable energy projects. He was born and raised in Soroti District in the Eastern region of Uganda where he attended primary and secondary school. Later on, Ivan joined Mabrara University of Science and Technology to pursue a career in Electrical engineering. He is a member of the youth go green movement an organization campaigning and calling for action in areas of Climate Change and environmental conservation. Ivan believes that we have have a role to play in realising the UN sustainable development goal of conserving the environment for the benefit of all humanity.
