United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowerment of Marginalized in Ndejje Community by Using Sports to Enhance their Well-Being

Empowerment of Marginalized in Ndejje Community by Using Sports to Enhance their Well-Being works collaboratively with different stakeholders in Ndejje community to see how based marginalized girls will be further supported. After the completion, the following week will have stakeholder meeting where duty bearers and rights holders will be invited to attend so that they can have a buy in the project concept. Secondly, out of the members from that meeting, a community governance committee will be selected composed of 25 members. This will be followed by training actiivities. This will be followed by forming an advocay committee for thegirls to prpagate thye mandate of the project to other communities

About the Millennium Fellow

Ibrahim Mukiibi is a young gentleman who is pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Ndejje university main campus in Uganda. Ibrahim was born in Uganda and he has been studying in Uganda since he started schooling. He has been so passionate about his dream of fighting for the rights of children and women as well since in Uganda where women are left out in most of the activities and their rights have been so much abused for example during voting most women are not voted because people have a mentality that they cannot make good leaders.
