" I am very excited to be able to work as a Millennium Fellow for this semester. Being a hardworking, creative and dedicated student, I strongly believe that I can bring a positive and impactful change to society. I possess a strong desire to make the earth a better place to live for all people. The first step towards this will be to bring a change that will make people realize the mistakes they have been doing till now. Being an MCN fellow will help me to bring this change collaboratively.
I think it is a great network to work with. Also, I will be able to learn new skills and improve my leadership qualities by learning from my fellows and work by implementing methods that are aligned with the UNAI principles and SDGs "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Happy Sea

The Happy Sea project aims at protecting and bringing in sustainable management of coastal ecosystems by addressing the impacts of marine pollution. Our Primary objectives for phase 1 were:
➢ Use social media to promote awareness among the locals and youngsters to galvanize community action to reduce local over-reliance on avoidable single-use plastics and follow efficient waste management techniques.
➢ Create a website for registering volunteers and for tracking progress.
➢ Reach out to volunteers from similar initiatives to get technical know-how and learn from their experience.
➢ Segregate the plastic and scrap materials collected during the beach cleanup drive and send them to a recycling unit.
