Millennium Fellowship Project: Students for Sustainable Living
Under the title ‘Students for Sustainable Living’, the Millennium Fellows of NMIMS, Mumbai aim to create awareness about sustainability and sustainable practices. The project focuses on 3 of the 17 SDGs, namely 11, 12 and 13, which are Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Production and Consumption and Climate Action respectively. We want to engage our fellow students in this initiative by organizing beach clean-ups, conducting webinars and workshops with experts in the field, and other activities. Through our independent student newsletter and the university website, we aim to raise awareness and encourage students to carry this initiative into their own homes and immediate surroundings. These webinars and articles will guide them through the process of switching to sustainable products in daily life, and how this can be done in an easy and cost effective manner.
About the Millennium Fellow
Hritika Dalal is a final year student at the Liberal Arts School under the globally accredited institution of NMIMS, India. She strives to understand the world, emulate values required to comprehend its forthcomings and is passionate about creating her own identity within the chaos. She strives to acknowledge her privilege and enjoys immersing herself in Community Service projects. As a result of this, she has earned the title of hosting the most projects amongst her peers. Thus, with every moment spent, she aspires to create a better future, for herself and the rest of the world.
