" The Millennium Fellowship will force me to think outside the box and help me strategize effectively to make the greatest possible impact. I am eager to learn the technicalities and intricacies that affect the bigger picture of social change projects. By working with my teammates in the space of our campus, I want to encourage student-run initiatives for a better tomorrow. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Students for Sustainable Living

Under the title ‘Students for Sustainable Living’, the Millennium Fellows of NMIMS, Mumbai aim to create awareness about sustainability and sustainable practices. The project focuses on 3 of the 17 SDGs, namely 11, 12 and 13, which are Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Production and Consumption and Climate Action respectively. We want to engage our fellow students in this initiative by organizing beach clean-ups, conducting webinars and workshops with experts in the field, and other activities. Through our independent student newsletter and the university website, we aim to raise awareness and encourage students to carry this initiative into their own homes and immediate surroundings. These webinars and articles will guide them through the process of switching to sustainable products in daily life, and how this can be done in an easy and cost effective manner.
