ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

I feel immensely honoured to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship program. The intellectually stimulating atmosphere provided by this program will enhance my skills and enable me to be a well-rounded individual. It would foster my global problem-solving vision and assist me and my team in the fulfilments of our projects which are aligned with different SDGs and UNAI principles. I will try my best to utilize the diversity of perspectives and mindsets in this program to facilitate my growth and learning. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Fikr-e-Farda

Fikr e Farda is an Urdu word that translates to “Tomorrow's concern” in English. At Fikr e Farda, we are a team of passionate STEM students, who are committed to making a meaningful impact in the sphere of Sustainable Development Goal # 13 of the United Nations: Climate Action. Our fundamental objective is to spread awareness about Climate change among the common citizens of Pakistan and especially the youth which constitutes more than fifty percent of its population.

About the Millennium Fellow

Muneeb Elahi Malik is a bright, young and ambitious engineering student at National University of Sciences and technology, Islamabad. He is passionate about technology and aims to discover novel innovative ways of solving real life problems. Apart from that, he has also been very actively involved in numerous community service activities. His advocacies for Climate action, quality education and sustainable development reflect his dedication for creating a positive impact in the world. He is the founder of project “Fik-e-Farda” and aspires to extend his efforts for the further development of United Nations sustainable development goals by utilizing his true potentials.
