Millennium Fellowship Project: NYC Prosthetics Project

3D Printed Prosthetics is an independent project led by Millennium Fellow Kelly Hong. This project addresses the lack of access people have to prosthetics because of financial burden. The project aims to develop 3D printed prosthetics that can be efficiently distributed to those in need, and educate the public about amputation prevention and resources for amputees. During the Millennium Fellowship period, the project will work with the NYU Makerspace or other similar facilities to develop 3D printed prosthetics and begin to engage with amputees in the local community. Additionally, we are aiming to create a website about the project, general resources for amputees, and education for the general public on how to prevent amputations.
