Millennium Fellowship Project: Anzen: Your Friend in the Dark

Anzen is a safety device designed to aid individuals to call for help in dire situations. Oftentimes, when people are in danger, they can't reach for their communication devices and obtain the necessary assistance. Anzen aims to automatically detect whether a person is in need of help based on a person's bodily parameters, such as temperature and pulse rate. Combining this with knowledge of the individual's location the device alerts the person's emergency contacts with their current location. The device will be wearable, easily accessible and imperceptible due to its simple design.
