" I believe that the Millennium Fellowship is going to be an amazing journey. The Fellowship is going to help me realise my true potential and give a direction my vision. Through this global stage, I'd be able to know about perspectives other than mine or the people in my vicinity. I do what I do because I believe that everybody in the society needs to be free and accepting of others and their way of living life. This acceptance can only come through means of inclusive all-encompassing education. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Redefining Education Amidst Diversity

Redefining Education Amidst Diversity is a multi-pronged programme targeted at improving the quality of life in rural India wherein the benefits of schemes are slow to reach and farfetched. The project has the following parts: (1) Giving Wings to Potential: Providing gender equal education and sensitization of people specially women for the restrictive constructs of like menses etc. The aim is to create awareness about medical, physical and emotional health and hygiene of these girls. (2) Legal Awareness: A lot of people do not know about the laws which affect them in their daily lives. The Programme project aims at making people aware of their rights and duties in a lucid way. (3) Stimulating Education in Environmental-Farming Discourses (S.E.E.D.): The project aims to act as a medium for evaluating and sharing best farming practices/information across the country to inspire a spirit of scientific and climate-conscious temperament within farmers.
