" I am inspired and fueled by the community I was raised in and that I am raising my son in. I want to rid my community of its healthcare distrust in order to end its polarization. I believe the Millennium Fellowship program will give me the tools I need to create appropriate outreach initiatives that will ensure higher vaccination numbers. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: SU Cures COVID
The project’s mission is to increase access to vaccines in our community, which entails putting together vaccine information to distribute in the community, increasing volunteer numbers at vaccine sites, identifying and locating target populations, providing language services (Haitian Creole, Spanish, Korean), addressing public health and vaccine mistrust, meeting with community leaders, and partnering with minority-focused community organizations.
