" Helping others has always been something dear to my heart. Volunteering and serving in your community is a great way to improve the lives of many, and I hope I can expand my capacities as a community service while being a Millennium Fellow. This kind of work gives me more happiness than anything else, there is nothing more I love more than seeing my work improve the lives of others. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Thanksgiving Meal Delivery Project

Donations were collected from local and national businesses to give back on Thanksgiving. Donations from Perdue, Maryland Food bank, Pepsi, Myers Lawn Care, and Salisbury University's Dining Hall, helped to make this project possible.

Boxes of non-perishable items were prepared in advance and on the 23rd of Nov. the perishable items were put in the boxes. Boxes wee then either delivered or picked up at Pine Hurst Elementary School, who I partnered with for this project.

Together, we collected a significant amount of fresh and canned goods to give out to 55 families, amassing to 300 individuals.
