" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow as it gives me the unique opportunity to develop a project that will benefit the common good. I can’t wait to build my own initiative and participate in making the SDGs a reality. I am ready to gain experience from the field work, but also from the support of like-minded people of the Fellowship. All in all, I am looking forward to being an active element of the change I want to see in this world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Finding Futures

The project Finding Futures is an initiative in favor of the sustainable development of education. Indeed, it puts forward the access to Higher Education for teenagers coming from a disadvantaged background. Thus it works to reduce inequalities. The project works towards the UN Academic Impact Principles, and in particular towards ‘Access to Higher Education’ and ‘Addressing Poverty’. By providing the students with necessary skills and knowledge, such as financial literacy, the project completes their academic education through its practical character, and allows them to seize opportunities to reach a higher level of education. The goal is to bridge the gap in skills and resources between the life of a high-school student and an independent young adult.
