About the Millennium Fellow

Caranamrta Hanna is an environmental activist and university student from Vancouver, Canada. She is currently studying international climate politics at Simon Fraser University, while pursuing a minor in Dialogue. With a passion for transformative justice and sharing ideas, Caranamrta has always found herself facilitating difficult conversations on sensitive topics, often between people with opossing views. Today, she recognizes the power that comes from connecting through difference, and has sought to build her knowledge and skills to bring important conversations - and what emerges from them - into tangible action.
