United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. Millennium Fellowship Project: This Is Me Kenya Movement
My project for this semester most addressed SDG 3 which is about Good Health and Well-being as it targets to strengthen the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, ensure access to sexual and reproductive healthcare services by informing and educating, and achieve health coverage. The most applicable UN Academic Impact Principle to this project is Principle 1 that addresses poverty.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ali Abdulrahman Ali, a senior student at Strathmore University, was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in law. Ali sees the law as a powerful tool through which ideas can be manifested and applied in the real world to address and confront societal problems. He maintains an interest in political processes and thoughts, and is a staunch advocate of democracy and the rule of law, in addition to a growing interest in Law and Tech. In his free time, he enjoys working out, listening to music, cooking, and playing video games.
