ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Next Generation and Nutrition: That Nutrition Podcast

The Next Generation and Nutrition project encompasses promotion of the health and wellbeing of members of Generation Z. Through That Nutrition Podcast I will share information on monthly themes around Food and Beverage Production, Nutrition and Dietetics. The purpose of the project is to improve wellness among young people in Nairobi, Kenya through capacity building.

About the Millennium Fellow

Maria Bakhita Opiyo is a practical, strong-willed and responsible student of Strathmore University's School of Tourism and Hospitality. Born in Nairobi, Kenya, she is passionate about hospitality, particularly, culinary arts. She has been ardent about food from childhood and has grown deeper in love with the art of preparing and appreciating varied cuisine. Her drive has brought her here and she would like to make her contribution towards the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals. In a unique way, towards Good Health and Well-Being.
