Team OWaste is focused on working towards the advancement of SDG 13–Climate Action. They campaign against the mass production and usage of plastic by actively spreading awareness about its harmfulness. The key aim of the project is to drive citizens to produce as little waste as possible by reorienting their day-to-day decisions, including food habits, waste disposal, consumption pattern, etc. OWaste believes that while individual efforts matter, large-scale systemic changes can only take place if the corporations producing plastic are held responsible and called out. As an attempt to do this, the team plans to constantly write to companies, governments, and local joints, as well as reach out to consumers, convincing them to always carry reusable bottles, straws, bags, etc. while stepping outside. Cleanups are also an integral part of this venture.
