" I am excited to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship as this will be a wonderful opportunity to connect and collaborate with a large number of individuals who, despite our diverse cultural backgrounds, share the same desire of bringing about a positive social impact in the world. Being a Millennium Fellow will also provide me with different valuable insights and perspectives, thereby widening my horizon. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: UNMILIT

UNMILIT is a five member team vehemently working towards imparting quality and holistic education amongst the underprivileged sections of the society especially children between the ages 4 to 18. The COVID-19 pandemic has orchestrated another shade of disparity in the road towards achieving education for all. We at UNMILIT aim to bridge this gap in accessing quality education by providing essential school supplies, donation drives, regular workshops with co-curricular activities to enrich these children. We aim to assist local orphanages and communities living below the poverty line to impart this very essential human right. Another important part of our project is to educate teenagers on menstrual health, sex education and dismantle taboos associated with it. We also have an upcoming project on promoting sustainable menstruation. UNMILIT aims for an empowered change and bring about equity and accessability in the field of achieving education.
