United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. Millennium Fellowship Project: UNMILIT
UNMILIT is a five member team vehemently working towards imparting quality and holistic education amongst the underprivileged sections of the society especially children between the ages 4 to 18. The COVID-19 pandemic has orchestrated another shade of disparity in the road towards achieving education for all. We at UNMILIT aim to bridge this gap in accessing quality education by providing essential school supplies, donation drives, regular workshops with co-curricular activities to enrich these children. We aim to assist local orphanages and communities living below the poverty line to impart this very essential human right. Another important part of our project is to educate teenagers on menstrual health, sex education and dismantle taboos associated with it. We also have an upcoming project on promoting sustainable menstruation. UNMILIT aims for an empowered change and bring about equity and accessability in the field of achieving education.
About the Millennium Fellow
Arushi Choudhary is an undergraduate student currently pursuing a degree in Sociology Honours at St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata. She is an empathetic person who is driven and motivated by her passion and desire to work for the benefit of mankind and nature, making this world a better place. She is also an avid reader who loves to sing and listen to music.
