" Inclusivity and empathetic leadership guide my goals and my work towards Holistic Education for all. The Millennium Fellowship will assist in broadening the impact of our project 'UNMILIT' both in quantity and in quality. Moreover, the prospect of working with similar-minded fellows from my community and interacting with other fellows from across the world who have a similar vision of making fruitful contributions towards the SDGs makes the Millennium Fellowship immensely thrilling and inspiring. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: UNMILIT
UNMILIT is a five member team vehemently working towards imparting quality and holistic education amongst the underprivileged sections of the society especially children between the ages 4 to 18. The COVID-19 pandemic has orchestrated another shade of disparity in the road towards achieving education for all. We at UNMILIT aim to bridge this gap in accessing quality education by providing essential school supplies, donation drives, regular workshops with co-curricular activities to enrich these children. We aim to assist local orphanages and communities living below the poverty line to impart this very essential human right. Another important part of our project is to educate teenagers on menstrual health, sex education and dismantle taboos associated with it. We also have an upcoming project on promoting sustainable menstruation. UNMILIT aims for an empowered change and bring about equity and accessability in the field of achieving education.
