" Being a woman is one of the most personal issues that leads me to be empathetic towards the rising inequality around me. Being a Millennium Fellow is more of a necessity than a choice for me. Through this fellowship, I seek to raise awareness regarding the varied spectrums of gender and sexuality. The series of crimes and oppression that particular sections of society still have to face is not only disappointing but also shameful to the integrity and sanctity of the world. I am an individual with a voice and that is what drives me to take a step. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Unshackled
Unshackled is a step forward to break free from the shackles of inequalities, to emerge undivided and united. The creators of Unshackled are determined to break the stereotypes and barriers faced by people from different walks of life, on a daily basis. They are focused on addressing three specific issues which include menstruation awareness for women below the poverty line, the LGBTQIA+ community and the taboos faced by the sex workers of India.
