ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Unshackled

Unshackled is a step forward to break free from the shackles of inequalities, to emerge undivided and united. The creators of Unshackled are determined to break the stereotypes and barriers faced by people from different walks of life, on a daily basis. They are focused on addressing three specific issues which include menstruation awareness for women below the poverty line, the LGBTQIA+ community and the taboos faced by the sex workers of India.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ayushmita Samanta is a happy go-lucky girl. She is positive by nature and is full of life. She is very helpful. She was born and brought up in the city of joy-Kolkata, India. She has completed her schooling from Our Lady Queen Of The Missions School. Currently she is pursuing Sociology honours from St.Xavier's College, Kolkata.She has been very active all throughout her school life participating in various events and social work organised by various non-profitable organisations. In college she is trying to do the same. She has always been very organized and has great leadership quality. She has the potential to run a team or organisation smoothly following all the norms and maintaining proper discipline. She is enthusiastic for new opportunities.
