" Joining the Millennium Fellowship is an opportunity to educate myself on the vast storage of knowledge it offers. It also allows people from different parts of the world to connect and organises then into an effective and proficient working structure. It is admirable how people from such diverse backgrounds come together to work for the cause of the various SDGs. It must require a great deal of diplomacy and strength to organise such a thing, and I wished to be a part of it. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Enhancing Human Capabilities
In this project, students from high school, higher secondary school and college are targeted. Sessions about Depression, Anxiety, Stress and Burnout are conducted for the students. This is to create a general awareness about what these are, the symptoms for each of them and how to identify them along with what they are supposed to do if they discover any of these symptoms in themselves or others around them. This would hopefully create a more aware group of students that may be able to help with identification of the formerly mentioned issues and help them through the process of recovery. This would be done in collaboration with the schools and colleges in the area.
About the Millennium Fellow
Vaishnavi Prem is a philanthropist by nature. From her middle school days she had a flare for organising programs to help the less privileged, which showcases her leadership qualities & organisational skills. Social work has always been close to her heart & lead her to do her UG in Social Work with Specialization in Rural Development. In any given scenario she has the ability to conceive the best proposal with the available resources. She is also an excellent writer & narrater. These urges to help the less privileged ensures her relating to various communities and is thus a global citizen.
