Millennium Fellowship Project: The Cookbook Equilibrium

The Cookbook Equilibrium teaches food-insecure students provides weekly cooking and budgeting workshops while delivering meals and raising proceeds for food-insecure students at UBC.Due to the hardships of COVID-19, we transitioned to the educational aspect by creating a free, informative booklet filled with nutritional facts and a compilation of campus resources for students; we reached over 300 UBC students on our Instagram page and personal Stories which we hope to expand our impact in the next semester and beyond through our current and initial project plans.

About the Millennium Fellow

Elise Tavassoli-Worsell (Darya) is going into her third year at the University of British Columbia in Canada. Raised in the United States, she always wanted to get out and change the world. She found that the best way she could truly do that was by going into a Political Science major with an International Relations minor. Her delight at being chosen as a Millennium Fellow cannot be contained as this is a great chance to get out and change the world one step at a time.
