" I very firmly believe in the capacity of young people to change the world, and I am so excited to meet other like-minded friends through the Millennium Fellowship. We cannot achieve change in isolation, and building strong relationships is the first step to effective cooperation. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Programme

The programme assists 12-15 year olds to take ownership of their education and of the development of their communities through study and community service.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ariana Razavi is a second-year philosophy student at University College London (UCL). She is motivated to think of ways that she and other young people can help their community, and believes that social change cannot occur without individual change.
Ariana has been volunteering with the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Programme (JYSEP) in her neighbourhood in North-East London for about a year, working with a group of 11-13 year olds to assist them in building a strong moral framework and thinking of ways they can serve their community.
