ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: State of Campus Free Expression

A regional symposium at the University of Connecticut to bring together students and scholars to have a meaningful conversation about the state of free expression on college campuses. The symposium includes guest speakers and a space for discussion.

About the Millennium Fellow

Michael Hernandez is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Political Science and Economics, with minors in English and Urban and Community Studies. On-campus, Michael has served as the Student Body President, Founder of the Undergraduate Political Science Association, and a regular contributor to the Undergraduate Political Review and the student newspaper. Off-campus, Michael has worked on various political campaigns, the U.S. Census, and the historic Afford to Dream Act. He is interested in real estate, urban development, civic engagement, and access to education. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a JD/MBA dual-degree and enter public service. Michael calls Stamford, Connecticut home.
