ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Golden Harvest Limited

Golden Harvest Limited is a community based project with the aim of eradicating poverty and helping create employment for the youths in our society by providing skills in agriculture and sustainability farming.

About the Millennium Fellow

Weere Daphine is her name, an intelligent, adaptable, adventurous, ambitious person.she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Uganda Christian University Mbale Campus. She is born in Butaleja District in Uganda. She is interested in SDG 1(No Poverty) because she grew up in a poverty struck community with challenges of illiteracy, poor economic state, malnutrious diseases, unemployment and increased number of street children. The reason why she is motivated in initiating the Golden Harvest Limited (Ltd) project is to reduce the impact of poverty in the community for instance unemployment, malnurious diseases by creating income generating activities like agriculture. She wants to continuously participate in the project even after Campus.
