Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Save Young Lives (PSYL)
Project Save Young Lives (PSYL) is a community, workplace, Health club, school and online collaboration for improving mental health literacy among young people. A collaboration of stakeholders and community groups that utilise a collective impact (community of interest or place based) framework to improve the mental health literacy of young people and their families in well and at risk population groups.
About the Millennium Fellow
David Orji is a bright, young and globally competitive student pharmacist. David is studying Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) at the school of Pharmacy, University of Benin. He was born in Nigeria, resides in Benin city and is currently studying in Edo state, Nigeria. David Orji believes in the transformative vision for a better world. This better world is envisioned in the declaration as a place where physical, mental and social well-being are assured in keeping with the WHO definition of health. Specifically, goal 3 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages. David has been involved in mental health advocacy for young individuals. He believe that with proper counselling, care and support the issue of depression and suicide will be curbed and young people will be impowered to attain their maximum potential.
