In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. Millennium Fellowship Project: Kid-Alive
KidAlive is a project that focuses on SDG3, Good health and wellbeing. It also promotes SDG 1, No poverty.
It is a project that focuses on raising funds for kids with terminal medical illnesses and creating awareness about kids with special needs.
The goal is to assist in the payment of the medical bills of at least 5 kids between ages 0-17. This should be done between August and
The objective is to visit different clinics in my community in order to get information about children needing immediate medical funds and resources for their medical procedures and medications. The amount to be raised is 100,000 naira or at least 50,000 and each child gets a minimum of 10,000 naira.
The funds are to be raised through online campaigns and advertisement on various major social media platforms.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mercy-Constance Oriname Aturu is a 23 year old Nigerian currently in her final year, studying Optometry at The University of Benin. She was born in Lagos, Nigeria on the 25th of January 1998. She has always had the spirit of an activist and has always had compassion for those in need. She is also passionate about volunteering which has volunteered for various local Student hubs. She also involved herself in various medical outreaches both in school and out of school . Her latest endeavour is joining the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2021 and choosing a project in line with with SDG 3, (Good Health and Well being) for social impact.
