Climate Change And Flood Disaster Awareness. Unfortunately, public perception of flood risk and flood risk information is often overlooked when developing flood risk management plans. For Many cities, not much is known about peoples’ flood risk awareness and perception, how much resilient they are, what adaptive capacities they possess and what socioeconomic, cultural and political drivers influence their risk perception and adaptive capacities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Abdul Rasheed Afolabi Ismail is a bright, young and globally competitive Law student at University Of Maiduguri. He was born in Nigeria, resides in Nigeria, and is currently studying in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria; truly a citizen of Nigeria. For as long as he could remember, AbdulRasheed has always been passionate about his advocacies for capacity building. This drive and ardour translated itself from AbdulRasheed's experiences in the international community and her continuous dedication to social action. Throughout his high school years and currently in his college years, he has successfully organized various philanthropic projects and social justice movements; which through his outstanding leadership, he plans to continue in the future. AbdulRasheed aspires to be in a professional field where he can cultivate these advocacies further, and provide his own contribution to the movement of the United Nations' Sustainable Goals.
